The Rib Room as been the local haunt of literary greats and the politically infamous for nearly 50 years.
Many guests have lingered after their meal to people watch, a popular thing to do among locals and visitors alike, through the wall of windows facing St. Louis Street, often to live piano music provided by local musicians. The bar serves patrons of both the restaurant the Omni Royal Orleans hotel. In 2004, the area around the bar was expanded, but the most notable change was the addition of the specially designed ceiling above the bar featuring a sky scene, offering patrons an ever changing view from dawn to dusk.
Today, The Rib Room Bar is still “the” place to meet. Just ask the locals!
